Biography

A founding person in the Battlefield Music group, Jamie McMenemy has continued to influence contemporary Celtic music along with his distinctive vocals and bouzouki, mandolin, and cittern using. Since shifting to Brittany in 1979, McMenemey provides offered as frontman for just two groundbreaking Celtic rings: Breton-based trad folk music group Kornog, from 1981 to 1987, and Belgium-based Celtic/Balkan music group Orion since 1987. McMenemy in addition has performed within a duo with Kornog guitarist Christian Lemaitre along with a music group, Taxi Mauve, which has followed vocalist Gerard Delahaye, offering Marc Pollier on uilleann pipes, Jean-Claude Phillippe on violin, Patrick Desauney on acoustic guitar, Matthieu Dalle on bass, and Michel Sikiotokis on flute and tin whistle.
