Pianist Adam Williams channeled the gospel and R&B affects of his youngsters to forge a soulful, deeply expressive method of modern jazz. A gifted soloist and accompanist, he was also a reputed manufacturer and educator. Blessed in Memphis on March 8, 1951, Williams started piano lessons at age group 13. A enthusiast of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Ramsey Lewis, he spent six years because the organist with Memphis’ Eastern Superstar Baptist Cathedral before learning music education at Memphis Condition School.
