Move Records/Rounder selected him up a couple of years afterwards, and he released his third full-length record, People Gonna Chat, in 2006. The record went on to become nominated for the 2006 Grammy Award. Hunter still left Rounder following the record’s discharge and eventually surfaced on Hear Music using the Hard Method in 2008. His wife Jacqueline was identified as having cancer following the album’s discharge, and Hunter had taken period off. She ultimately passed on in Oct of 2011. The Adam Hunter Six toured relentlessly, to get the record, playing high-profile membership and festival schedules as headliners, and writing levels with Sharon Jones as well as the Dap Kings, Budos Music group, and others. On the other hand, Roth agreed upon Hunter to his Daptone label and released Minute by Minute on vinyl fabric. In 2015, JH6 holed up with Roth, once again on the producer’s helm, at Penrose Recorders (aka Daptone Western) in Riverside, California, and documented live-to-eight-track tape. They slice an abundance of fresh originals in a number of rhythms, culling the leads to ten tunes. On January 22, 2016 the solitary “Something’s Phoning,” premiered concurrently as both an electronic download along with a 45-rpm vinyl fabric record.
