James Grant

As an associate of Close friends Again and Like and Money, Adam Offer (vocals, electric guitar, bass) helped to determine Glasgow, Scotland, being a wellspring for brainy, soulful play the ’80s. In 1982, Offer joined Friends Once again, a punchy brand-new wave clothing who crossed Aztec Camera’s jangly riffs with David Bowie’s stabs at funk. Close friends Once again released one LP, Trapped and Unwrapped, in 1984 before Offer still left the group to demonstrate his own skill for songwriting. In 1985, Offer formed Like and Cash, a music group who primarily clung to some jazzy, even more rock-oriented sound. Like and Money documented their first record, ALL YOU HAVE TO Is, in 1986; nevertheless, the LP didn’t fulfill the industrial expectations due to the achievement of the one “Candybar Express.” Appreciate and Money’s second record, Strange Sort of Appreciate, marketed 250,000 copies, but Grant’s innovative vision became significantly incompatible with the organization needs from the group’s label, Phonogram. Offer battled with Phonogram on the creative direction of Like and Money’s third record, Dogs within the Visitors, in 1991. The LP marketed just 25,000 copies, so when the label noticed no product sales potential in 1994’s Littledeath, they lowered the music group. The group split shortly thereafter. On Like and Money’s afterwards work, Offer started venturing into nation, a genre that he continuing to explore in his single profession. In 2000, Give released Sawdust in my own Veins to common critical acclaim.
