Influenced by famous brands D’Angelo and Stevie Question along with Burial and Support Kimbie, London-based producer, singer, and songwriter Wayne Blake first offered the world a flavor of his quirky, R&B-sampling stress of dubstep in ’09 2009 when his Air flow & Lack Thereof 12″ made an appearance for the Hemlock label. Blake received quite the endorsement when the heralded Spirit Jazz label selected the monitor up for his or her Steppas’ Pleasure 2 compilation that same yr.
