Biography
Spanning three decades, James Asher’s music job began with an extended stint composing noncommercial music for soundtracks and library parts. After determining to delve deeper and make much more serious compositions, he released his industrial debut, THE FANTASTIC Steering wheel, in 1990. The recording reached quantity 13 on the brand new age graph and continued to be on the graphs for about 2 yrs. After liberating his 1993 recording, Globalarium, on Metallic Wave Information, he authorized with New Globe Records, who released nearly all his recordings for the rest from the ’90s. Stylistically, Asher’s compositions dropped into two camps — percussion-driven cultural fusion best shown by his Ft in the Dirt and Feet within the Dirt 2 information, and gentler works together with a more traditional new age appear to be his 1995 recording, Ocean of Celebrities. Two years later on, Asher released Pemulwuy, that was called in special event for a solid, famous Aborigine. He came back to Indian globe beats on 1998’s Tigers from the Raj, and 1999’s Coulours of Trance highlighted Asher’s fondness for the poetry of Madeleine Doherty. In the next years he’d remix and repackage Tigers from the Raj double, deliver a sequel to Foot in the Garden soil, and discharge his first cooperation with Indian drummer Sivamani (2002’s Shaman Drums.)
