b. Jacob Landers, 14 August 1938, Lawrence State, Alabama, USA. Landers is normally well reputed in bluegrass music not merely being a performer but additionally being a songwriter. He discovered guitar and through the 60s, alongside Herschel Sizemore and Rual Yarbrough, he performed for quite some time as an associate from the Dixie Gentlemen. During this time period they documented five albums which included almost 20 music either composed or co-wrote by Landers including ‘Soldier’s Come back’ and ‘Your Center Tells The Truth’. When Sizemore and Yarborough transferred to other groupings, Landers used other combos but concentrated even more on his songwriting. This received a lift, in 1969, when Costs Monroe documented ‘Walk Softly On My Center’ and ‘Beyond The Gate’. In 1970, he and banjoist Tom McKinney each documented one side of the album on Melody, a label possessed by Yarborough. In the first 70s, he and Yarborough shaped the Dixiemen, with whom they documented four albums. Landers’ music ‘Down WITH THE Waterfall’ became extremely popular and was protected with considerable achievement by the united states Gentlemen. Once they disbanded, in 1976, he started to record albums for Aged Homestead, including one which comprised all gospel materials but all included several self-penned amounts. Within the 80s, Landers’ daughters became mixed up in music when he shaped the Jake Landers Family members Band and documented for Aged Homestead. He also made an appearance inside a reunion from the Dixie Gentlemen, which led to an album launch on Rutabaga. In 1989, the Kentucky Headhunters, charted at quantity 25, making use of their rock and roll country edition of his music ‘Walk Softly On My Heart’, retitled ‘Walk Softly UPON THIS Heart Of Mine’.
