Jahkoy conditions his method of turning settings — from low-key modern R&B and rap to relatively energetic dance grooves — as “bipolar audio.” The vocalist, rapper, songwriter, and manufacturer from Toronto, Ontario obtained some see in 2014 when he released the sparse gradual jam “Poison.” The next year, he released a club-oriented couple of monitors — “Still in Appreciate” and “Keep Your Hands” — through his very own Bipolar label. That same calendar year, he also fell the mixtape Forward Considering. Fueled by support from famous brands Pharrell Williams and DJ Zane Lowe, he ready his debut EP, International Water, which made an appearance in 2016. He shipped another mixtape, Forwards Considering II, a yr later.
