Jade

The first working unit of Jade was formed in Winnipeg, Canada, in 1982. The initial line-up contains Roxy Lyons (vocals), Pat Belrose (acoustic guitar), Terry Rudd (bass) and Dave Samson (drums). The music group initially performed on the neighborhood golf club circuit in the lack of a genuine rock and roll scene. They made a decision to relocate to Ottawa where they quickly struck a one-off recording contract with the tiny self-employed label Zaphia Information. Their debut, Teasing Eye, released in 1984, was a mediocre assortment of exhausted pop rock. Recognizing their mistake in selection of locale, they relocated once more, this time around to Toronto, where in fact the rock and roll community was a lot more energetic.
