Jacques Morel

Morel was students of Marin Marais and dedicated “Ler livre de parts de violle” to Marais. Within his compositions Morel utilized the same symptoms for bowing and ornamentaion as his instructor. Comparatively, the framework of his suites for the viol had been often easier than those of Marais. He made up a French establishing from the “Te Deum” and made up plans of solo cantatas, “Les Thuilleries.” Morel was most likely an organist at Soissons and his “Les livre” may have already been copied in later on editions though many editorial adjustments were created by copyists.
