Jacob Gade was probably one of the most successful popular and light music composers ever sold. Paradoxically, the best-known exemplory case of that quintessentially Argentine dance type, the tango, was compiled by this Danish composer in Copenhagen. He previously no formal teaching like a musician or composer, but discovered to try out folk fiddle and was effective as a nation music group fiddler and innovator. (He does not have any relation to the best Danish traditional composer Niels W. Gade.) He became one of the better known numbers in Copenhagen like a cafe and theatre bandleader.
