Jacob Bellens

Before making his single debut in 2012, Danish singer/songwriter Jacob Bellens was popular in the Copenhagen music picture for his rings I ACQUIRED You about Tape and Murder. Both of his rings got their genesis in the middle-2000s and each displayed a different color of Bellens’ specific method of pop music. Along with his warm, laconic baritone and playfully maudlin shade, you are able to hear distinct tips of Scott Walker, Tom Waits, and Magnetic Areas in his artful approach. Pursuing I ACQUIRED You on Tape’s 2011 launch Church of the true, Bellens collaborated with digital designer Kasper Bjørke, performing several paths on his 2012 recording, Fool. Bellens quickly adopted up later on that year using the shuffling baroque pop of his single debut, The Daisy Age group. A single entitled “HAVE YOU GOT Anything Harder?” bridged the distance between his debut and his sophomore LP, 2014’s My Convictions.
