Jackmaster

Jackmaster (Jack port Revill) is a Glasgow-based DJ known for his eclectic blend sessions aswell for co-founding label and golf club night Amounts. While his name obviously references Chicago home pioneer Farley Jackmaster Funk, he doesn’t confine his DJ models to one design or picture, spanning Detroit techno, U.K. garage area/dubstep, minimal techno, disco/funk, and other things that movements the group. He started DJ’ing and operating at an archive shop during his early teenagers, and by age 17, he was a resident DJ at Glasgow techno golf club Monox. Numbers started releasing on-line mixes and advertising occasions around 2006. He also co-founded the related Wireblock label, which released early materials by Rustie and Hudson Mohawke. Amounts became an effective label this year 2010 and released a large number of well-regarded 12″s and full-lengths by Jessie Ware & SBTRKT, Jamie xx, SOPHIE, Redinho, Mosca, and many others. Soon after the label was founded, Jackmaster became popular, appearing at several clubs and celebrations and showing up in DJ polls from magazines such as for example DJ Journal and Resident Consultant. He combined Fabric’s Fabriclive 57 in 2011 and a 2016 level of !K7’s lauded DJ-Kicks series.
