Jackie Lee

b. Earl Nelson, 8 Sept 1928, Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA. Lee experienced an impressive achievement in 1965 using the dance strike ‘The Duck’ (#4 4 R&B, quantity 14 pop), but his existence in the R&B picture was a lot more ubiquitous than was indicated by that one strike. He sang business lead within the Hollywood Flames’ strike, ‘Buzz Buzz Hype’, and was area of the duo of Bob And Earl that experienced popular with ‘Harlem Shuffle’ (#3 3 R&B, quantity 44 pop) in 1964. After ‘The Duck’, a follow-up, ‘Would You Believe’, didn’t make the nationwide graphs but was extremely successful in local markets over the USA. Lee experienced a minor achievement with ‘African Boo-Ga-Loo’ in 1968 and his last graph record was ‘The Poultry’ in 1970.
