b. 16 November 1914, Bainbridge Isle, Seattle, Washington, USA, d. 3 July 2006, Westlake Town, California, USA. An acting professional and singer having a clean tenor tone of voice, Smith experienced a big break in 1933 when he became a member of the Three Ambassadors vocal group with Gus Arnheim’s Music group, which was citizen in the Coconut Grove, within the Ambassador Resort, Los Angeles. Previously, the Rhythm Kids, offering Bing Crosby, experienced sung using the music group there. When Phil Harris changed Arnheim along with his personal extremely entertaining music group, the Ambassadors remained on, and later on toured with him. Through the past due 30s the trio made an appearance frequently on Kate Smith’s radio program in NY, until they disbanded in 1939. Right now being introduced because the ‘the guy having a smile in his tone of voice’, Smith remained in NY and sang in vocal organizations on radio, together with your Strike Parade. In the first 40s he was a soloist on many radio displays, with music group innovator Raymond Scott as well as the Prudential Display. Jack port!’, ‘Civilization (Bongo, Bongo, Bongo)’, ‘Big Brass Music group From Brazil’, ‘Shaunty O’Shea’, ‘Baby Encounter’, ‘Takin’ Miss Mary TOWARDS THE Ball’, ‘Tea Leaves’, ‘You Contact Everybody Darling’, ‘Cuanto La Gusta’, ‘Lavender Blue (Dilly Dilly)’, ‘Cruising Straight down The River’ and ‘Sunflower’. Of all of the he was associated with the Clark Sisters, an elegant vocal quartet, who previously sang beneath the name from the Sentimentalists using the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Smith also made an appearance in two film musicals, Make Believe Ballroom (1949); and On Moonlight Bay (1951), where he duetted ‘Like Ya’, with Doris Time. Within the 50s, he sang on US tv, but eventually focused increasingly more on acting.
