Biography

Jack Hardy is a central amount in folk music since his entrance in Greenwich Community in 1978. Instrumental in founding the Songwriter’s Exchange, the SpeakEasy Musician’s Co-op, and Fast Folk Musical Newspaper, Hardy provides released many albums domestically on his Great Separate label, extending in to the 21st hundred years with such CDs as Bandolier (2002), Gold coin of the World (2004), Tinker’s Gold coin: Celtic Anthology (2005), and Noir (2007). Regarded a writer’s article writer, he’s known for politics in his music, Americanized Irish affects, along with a preoccupation with mythological imagery, confusing with standard NY folk & move. Hardy’s 16th record, Rye Grass, appeared on Great Separate in ’09 2009.
