J.I.D

Given birth to and raised in East Atlanta, J.We.D — a name adopted and adapted from what his grandmother called him like a jittery kid — first appeared within the Atlanta hip-hop picture along with his debut EP, Dicaprio, in 2015. Developing up, J.We.D’s first reference to music was through his parents’ assortment of basic funk and spirit LPs. After a stint at Hampton College or university playing soccer, J.We.D also installed with fellow MCs within the Spillage Community collective. By 2012, he previously fell out of university to spotlight music, and in 2014 he going from what will be a successful tour with EarthGang, Bas, and Ab-Soul. Touring allowed J.We.D to build his abilities, and a calendar year afterwards he recorded and dropped the Dicaprio EP, which found him synergy with a bunch of producers, aswell as EarthGang. While willing to length himself in the generic abrasive snare sound that acquired dominated the Atlanta picture, J.We.D wished to deliver a thing that was a lot more than nearly a defeat, and rather focused his commitment on lyrics aswell. In 2016, J.We.D, alongside all of those other Spillage Community staff, released the record Bears SUCH AS THIS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF, which found the rapper honing his unique delivery and motivated lyrics. In 2017, he announced that he previously agreed upon to J. Cole’s Dreamville label (an association made out of the rapper via J.We.D’s component in the 2014 tour with Bas and Cole’s friend and manufacturer Cedric Dark brown), which released the one Never and full-length The Never Tale at the start of the entire year.
