J.D. Overdrive

Though their sound is rooted in the swampy sludge of southern metallic, J.D. Overdrive had been produced in Katowice, Poland in 2007. Previously known as Jack port Daniels Overdrive before changing the name for legal factors, the band includes a sound similar to rings like Down and Dark Label Society, concentrating on big, filthy riffs and loose grooves to create the heaviness. Guitarist Michael “Stamp” Stemplowski originally recruited a lineup comprising bassist Cuba “Oldboy” Pawlewski, vocalist Wojciech “Gopher” Puddle, and drummer Maciej “High end” Rutkowski, who made an appearance the band’s 2009 EP, Concentrated Bad. A lineup change the following calendar year would find Oldboy and High end leaving the music group with Luke “Peo” Pomietlo and Luke “Joorek” Jurewicz acquiring their areas, respectively. J.D. Overdrive would make their full-length debut in 2011 with Sex, Whiskey & Southern Bloodstream. Their sophomore work, Fortune Mementos the Brave, implemented in 2013.
