b. John Dill Jarvis, 21 Apr 1924, Manchester, Clay State, Kentucky, USA. He begun to play electric guitar when he was seven and afterwards also became extremely skilled on banjo, mandolin and bass. His maternal grandmother, Katherine Constance Labatt, was the daughter of businessman/brewer John Labatt, whose own father, John Kinder Labatt, founded the Canadian Labatt Brewing Company. Graham's father was president of John Labatt Ltd.
