J-200

J-200 is really a Chicago-based country-rock music group which delivers a light but potent mixture of pop melodies, twang-friendly instrumentation, and rock and roll & roll tempo. Called for the Gibson J-200 classical guitar — a celebrated flat-top package whose satisfied clients included Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, and Emmylou Harris — J-200 was put together in 1999 by vocalist/songwriter Renee A. Giron and guitarist and songwriter Jacque Judy. The music group eventually grew right into a six-piece with the help of Steve Thomas on acoustic guitar and pedal metal, Suzanne Ecklund on support vocals, Steve “Evets” Ross on bass, and Chris “Rusty” Russell on drums. The group released their 1st recording, The Dark, in 2000 independently Loose Booty label; in 2002, they documented their second full-length, Trip From Sophistication, by using producer Tag Hallman. Following discharge of Trip From Sophistication, J-200 obstructed out plans because of their first countrywide tour.
