Ivor McMahon

This British violinist is most well-known for his involvement using the Melos Ensemble, a protracted chamber group that was formed in 1950 from the viola player Cecil Aronowitz. The group, with twelve available members, created to be able to play bigger chamber works, like the Schubert and Mendelssohn octets, Beethoven’s Septet, and Ravel’s Intro and Allegro. The ensemble experienced no trouble creating an international status in an region where, because of both budgetary and arranging problems, long-running organizations are uncommon.
