Ivanay

b. Rosalin Thompson, Feb 1972, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Western Indies. Thompson was the youngest of 13 siblings, all reared inside a Christian environment, and her preliminary vocal training is at the local chapel and college choirs. In 1994 she started singing expertly through Howlers International Music, carrying out as Rosie T. Although her preliminary recordings had been all cover variations, they proved reasonably effective, and she was asked to appear in the 1995 Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, where she offered a triumphant overall performance within the International Night time alongside famous brands Buju Banton, Everton Blender and Freddie McGregor. This obtained her a pursuing, and prompted invites to execute with additional renowned performers. She documented ‘Empower Me’ as Ivanay, a track co-written with Anthony Rochester, merging a steadfast tempo with masterful lyricism. Her name switch emphasized her personality, and she documented self-compositions alongside the sooner cover variations for the long-awaited debut recording, which shown both her vocal and composing skills. The arranged featured visitor vocals from Angie Angel on the ragga remix of ‘Empower Me’, Louie Tradition within the dancehall mover ‘Make WANT TO You’, and a cover edition of the Peter Tosh strike, retitled ‘God Is definitely My Keeper’.
