Ital Tek

A dubstep/IDM producer focusing on dark, atmospheric sounds influenced by grime and jungle, Brighton’s Ital Tek (given birth to Alan Myson) initial appeared in 2006 over the download label Net Laboratory. The discharge was the Terminator 2 EP, five monitors with much Aphex Twin impact and examples of Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 2007 he presented the deep dubstep audio that could become his personal when his “Bloodstream Lines” 12″ fell on Globe Mu. That same calendar year, the Snippets collection curved up unfinished functions for Net Laboratory, while an appearance on Globe Mu’s 200 compilation combined with the 12″ “Deep Private pools” for the Square label would make important DJs like BBC Radio’s Mary Anne Hobbs supporters and advocates. Hobbs would feature Ital Tek on her behalf 2008 Presents Evangeline collection, after that Globe Mu would discharge his debut full-length, Cyclical, that same calendar year. The next July, Ital Tek released an electronic EP entitled Whip It Up, which used his personal sound to wonky instrumental hip-hop. In Sept, he released the four-song Amnesty EP, with all proceeds donated to Amnesty International. Whip It Up Remixes adopted in October, comprising reworks by Boxcutter, Om Device, and Blue Daisy. In Dec of 2011, World Mu released Ital Tek’s Gonga EP, including a remix by label creator µ-Ziq and signaled a change toward quicker rhythms influenced by Chicago’s juke/footwork picture, but still comprising the artist’s brilliant, expressive melodies. The 2012 digital EP THE EARTH (on Atom Country) and World Mu full-length Nebula Dance continuing in this path. Ital Tek after that released the Hyper Genuine EP on Civil Music in early 2013, adopted later in the entire year by Control, a far more jungle-influenced mini-LP on World Mu. The somewhat darker Mega Town Industry EP made an appearance on Civil Music the next year. 2 yrs later, a very much darker and even more brooding full-length entitled Hollowed made an appearance on World Mu, accompanied by the friend EP Beyond View.
