Island

An experimental steel music group hailing from Germany, Island shaped in 2003. Originally a three-piece (Christian Kolf — guitars, bass, tips, synth, vocals; Florian Toyka — guitars, bass, tips, synth, percussion, vocals; and Patrick Schroeder — drums), Isle recorded their initial record, Orakel, in 2003 and 2004. A follow-up EP premiered afterwards in 2004 — merely entitled Isle EP — however the roster acquired some shakeups when creator Schroeder known as it per day. Ultimately the band extended to five, dealing with Rafael Calman over the drum feces, Clemens Toyka on brass, and Jan Buckard on contrabass. In 2007, Vendlus Information re-released Orakel, using the Isle EP monitors added being a bonus.
