Irina

A suomirock star much like fellow Finns Tiktak, PMMP, and Maija Vilkkumaa, Irina Lahtinen (better referred to as Irina) loved several Best Five strikes in her homeland in the first 2000s. Irina broke in to the Finnish music picture in the summertime of 2002, when her friend Toni Wirtanen (business lead singer from the Finnish music group Apulanta) asked her to sing the theme track for a Television miniseries he was focusing on, Juulian Totuudet (Julian’s Truths). The show’s eponymous theme track was a big strike in Finland, and Irina quickly found herself focusing on a record beneath the auspices of EMI Finland. Her debut recording, Vahva, arrived in the springtime of 2004; it peaked at amount six in the Finnish graphs and gained Irina an Emma for Record of the entire year and Greatest New Musician. Her second record, Ala Riko Kavaa, arrived one year afterwards and peaked at amount five; it had been outdone by 2007’s Liiba Laaba, which climbed to number 1.
