Biography
Venezuelan-born singer/songwriter/guitarist Irene Farrera blends her Latin American heritage using the energy of her used residential, the Northwest of america. As a kid we were young in Caracas and Valencia, Farrera created her musical abilities, playing the cuatro when she was 9 and traditional acoustic guitar at 11. She brought satisfaction for her history with her when she relocated to the united states over 2 decades ago, and started carrying out music from around Latin America in addition to her homeland. Her repertoire included Mexican rancheras, Venezuelan joropos, and tunes by great Latino songwriters like Brazil’s Tom Jobim, Argentina’s Carlos Gardel and Cuba’s Silvio Rodriguez. Right from the start, Farrera’s inclusive interpretation of Latin American music was embraced by like-minded music artists such as for example Charlie Byrd, for whom Farrera opened up as you of her 1st professional gigs. After producing her documented debut in 1995 with Alma Latina and liberating two albums on her behalf personal imprint, Farrera released her 4th recording Soy De Ti on Lektronic Soundscape in 1999.
