Produced in 1989 by vocalist/guitarist Jacob Hansen, guitarist Jakob Schultz, bassist Jesper M. Jensen, and drummer Per Moller Jensen, Denmark’s Invocator released some thrash steel albums infused with small progressive touches through the initial fifty percent of the ’90s. 1991’s Excursion Demise debut and its own 1993 follow-up, Weave the Apocalypse, had been both released by Sweden’s Dark Mark label, and the group jumped to Nuclear Blast for 1994’s Early Years (a assortment of previous demos) and 1995’s third record proper, Dying to reside (featuring brand-new bassist Carsten Mikkelsen). But popularity and fortune demonstrated much too elusive in the long run, and the music group wound up splitting up a short while afterwards.
