NY duo Invisible Conga People produce analog-based psychedelic dance music and produced their recording debut for the trendy indie digital label Italians GET IT DONE Better. Shaped in 2006, the duo can be made up of Justin Simon (electric guitar) and Eric Tsai (synths, development) and would go to great measures in order to avoid using computer systems to create and perform its music, preferring rather analog equipment and a lot of results pedals. The duo cites Krautrock legends Can being a major impact, along with modern Japanese psychedelic music. Actually, Simon, who’s fluent in Japanese and who resided in Japan for six years, may be the creator of Mesh-Key Information, a store label focusing on modern Japanese psych (performers including We Acediasts, Nagisa Yoko, Chie Mukai, and Yura Yura Teikoku). In 2008 Invisible Conga People produced their documenting debut using the Wire Dazed 12″ on Italians GET IT DONE Better, a label generally connected with Cup Candy. Furthermore with their recordings, the duo also performs live.
