Internal/Exterior was the alias of indie rock and roll veteran Paul Schuster, a longtime staple from the Olympia, WA pop underground whose prior tasks included a stint seeing that keyboardist with love-rock symbols Some Velvet Sidewalk aswell as creation and engineering function for Julie Mess up as well as the Spells. Internal/Exterior began taking form in 1997, something of Schuster’s latest experiments in digital music; then asked close friends including Lois Maffeo, Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein, Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna and K Information honcho Calvin Johnson to lead guest vocals towards the project, leading to the 2000 discharge of Offering…. The Insideout EP implemented a year afterwards.
