Biography
Inka Inka, a high shelf homegrown reggae music group disbanded after seven 1/2 years in Oct 1996, their socially and environmentally conscious noises contained positive messages that addressed modern issues. The rings’ concert events had been groove infestations driven by explosive horn rifts. Developing in 1989, in San Jose, CA, the mainstays had been Spiderman (business lead vocals, percussion), Sticky (bass), Dr. Allen (acoustic guitar), Greg Schnetz (acoustic guitar, vocals), Steve Hoffman (keyboards, vocals), Wes Anthony (saxophone), Michael Taylor (trumpet, vocals), and Henry Sarmiento (audio engineer). They’ve made an appearance numerous reggae heavyweights including UNDER-DEVELOPED, Jimmy Cliff, Burning up Spear, Toots as well as the Maytals, as well as the Meditations. 2 yrs after forming AWAKEN decreased on Forehead Information, two US trips made it very popular; a second recording in 1992, Reconsider was a high independent reggae launch. Myth Of THE DEVICE completes the trio of superb albums; the 1995 documenting has many marvelous moments. They will have a monitor on Reggae AROUND THE River, a compilation with songs by and including Judy Mowatt, Angelique Kidjo, Aaba Maal, and Lucky Dube. Since disbanding, the users keep occupied with other tasks, the horn section takes on in jazz organizations, and Schnetz specializes in the business enterprise end of music. Fifteen users were within the music group at various occasions, and unlike rumors, they finished on an excellent note.
