Infernal Majesty

Originally going simply by the name of Overlord, Toronto thrashers Infernal Majesty formed in 1986 and featured vocalist Chris Bailey, guitarists Kenny Hallman and Steve Terror, bassist Psycopath, and drummer Rick Nemes. A four-song demonstration was duly documented and circulated to specific magazines, eventually obtaining its method to Roadrunner Information, which thought we would sign the music group and released their non-e Shall Defy debut in 1987. Though it received extremely reviews that are positive, yielded a video for the name track, and continues to be considered a classic of specialized thrash metallic, the album became their last for Roadrunner, which decreased them without explanation immediately after its launch. Bailey, Psycopath, and Nemes also remaining at the moment (the final two starting a fresh band known as Castle of Discomfort) and had been replaced by fresh vocalist Justin (even more on him later on), bassist Chay McMullen, and drummer Kevin Harrison, but non-e from the revamped group’s demos were able to attract a fresh record offer. Infernal Majesty ultimately went their individual methods, and Justin continued to seize headlines, when he was billed with slashing a woman’s wrists and consuming her blood! Tagged the “vampire trial,” his bizarre behavior gained him seven weeks in jail and, question of miracles, the like of his previous sufferer, with whom he later on shacked up! For the time being, Infernal Majesty (having a coming back Chris Bailey) experienced experienced a resurgence appealing in 1996 when their debut was re-released on Compact disc. Unfazed, they self-released the live Chaos in Copenhagen in 1999.
