Indians

Both wistfully understated and willfully eclectic, Danish indie pop outfit Indians was formed being a solo vehicle for Copenhagen-based singer/songwriter/one-man band Søren Løkke Juul. Steeped in the ghostly synth pop atmospherics of his fellow countrymen Efterklang, but leaning harder over the indie pop sensibilities of even more traditional, song-oriented contemporaries like Beirut, Gravenhurst, and Choir of Youthful Believers, Juul performed his initial show beneath the Indians moniker in 2012, simply a few months after inking a cope with 4AD. Indians’ debut record, Somewhere Else, appeared the following calendar year.
