Biography
Sala, Sweden’s In Thy Dreams was a melodic loss of life metal band across the same stylistic lines while compatriots In Flames and Dark Tranquility, only without anywhere near their degree of achievement. Created in 1996 by guitarist Jari Kuusisto and drummer Stefan Westerberg, the group also presented vocalist Jonas Nyren, guitarist Hakan Stuvemark, and bassist Fredrik Ericssonn from the release of the debut EP, Blast of Dispraised Souls, and recording, The Gate of Pleasure — both in 1999. Regrettably, neither of the appeared to have the undivided interest of its manufacturers, since Kuusisto and Westerberg had been simultaneously involved throughout this time around using their more lucrative, neo-thrash/loss of life ensemble Carnal Forge. Actually, arrive 2001, they’d made a decision to concentrate on the second option project pretty much full-time, therefore decided to retire In Thy Dreams following a release of the sophomore recording, Highest Beauty (itself an even more brutal affair than earlier functions), which presented vocalist Thomas Lindfors and Carnal Forge bassist Petri Kuusisto financing a hand.
