Impending Doom

Creating a design of music which allows these to worship God through gore music (self-described as “gorship”), Impending Doom certainly are a Christian death steel band who make use of extreme music as a way to explore their beliefs. Shaped in Riverside, CA, in 2005 by founders Manny Contreras (electric guitar), Brook Reeves (vocals), Chris Forno (electric guitar), Isaac Bueno (drums), and Greg Pewthers (electric guitar), the music group shaped and quickly self-released the EP The Sin and Doom of Godless Guys. In enough time following the EP, Forno, Pewthers, and Bueno still left the music group and were changed by Cory Johnson, Chad Blackwell, and David Sittig. With a fresh lineup, the music group agreed upon to Facedown Information in 2007 and released its full-length debut, Nailed. Deceased. Risen, offering re-recorded variations of a number of the tracks through the debut EP. In early 2009, the group released The Serpent Servant, also on Facedown.
