Acquiring their name through the shadowy, secret society rumored to antagonize the Catholic Church, Toronto, Canada’s the Illuminati shaped in 2003 using the more realistic (but equally admirable) goal of antagonizing those who would refuse the holy gospel of Rock and roll & Move. After playing collectively for nearly ten years inside a garage-metal music group known as Tchort (never to end up being confused using the Norwegian dark metal star, therefore called), vocalist/guitarist Les Godfrey and bassist/vocalist Nick Sewell transformed their attentions to a fresh project by which they actually searched for musical enlightenment, hence introducing the Illuminati with ex-Nice Kitty drummer Jim Gering, and documenting a six-song, 16-minute EP which shortly became a feeling across Canada.
