Ike Cole

The brother of the fantastic Nat “Ruler” Cole, Ike Cole was a respected jazz pianist and composer. Delivered on July 13, 1927, in Chicago, IL, Ike started his musical profession by playing the bass drum within an Military music group, and by 1957, got shaped the Ike Cole Trio in Chicago. Ike and his music group received major Television exposure, and immediately after became a reliable attraction in NEVADA. Through the entire years, his music group toured Japan, Australia, European countries, and america frequently. At one stage, though, Cole became therefore sick and tired of the constant evaluations to his popular sibling that he significantly regarded as changing his last name, but eventually held it. Ike and another pianist sibling, Freddy (who also sang), toured collectively in 1990 having a tribute display to their sibling Nat. The next 12 months, Ike lent his key pad playing talents to some other tribute of types to his past due sibling — his niece Natalie Cole’s Grammy Award-winning recording Unforgettable. On Apr 22, 2001, Cole dropped a struggle with malignancy at age 73.
