Iguazúl

Iguazúl may be the music moniker of San Francisco-based manufacturer and label owner Loïc Maestracci — also creator of San Francisco’s internationally renowned Music Expo. His incredible, simple, and soulfully tinged dancefloor audio combines electro and funk with Brazilian and Latin rhythms within a retro-modern design. (With influences which range from Azymuth and Chic to Globe Wind & Fireplace and Todd Terje noticeable in his design.) Iguazúl continues to be deeply inspired by his moves through world metropolitan areas whose musical customs are important elements of their traditions: Rio, Paris, London, New Orleans, and LA, included in this. His musical design blends electric powered pianos, digital synths, and drum devices with organic voices and live percussion. Iguazúl set up himself by collaborating on remixes with various other producers in LA. His work contains monitors by Santana, Gilberto Gil, and Jamiroquai. His eight-track debut EP, Electro Funk Samba, was released in early 2016.
