Iffy comprises of Kirk “KjustinJ” Johnson about vocals, Dave Pederson about acoustic guitar and keyboards, and Tom Merkl about bass. KjustinJ and Merkl 1st received national interest within the Twin Firmness and SST music group Run Westy Operate, whose 1990 recording, Green Cat Isle, was made by R.E.M.’s Peter Buck.
