Icon were formed in Phoenix, Az, USA, in 1981, by college close friends Dan Wexler (acoustic guitar), Tracy Wallach (bass, support vocals) and Stephen Clifford (business lead vocals). Drummer Pat Dixon and John Aquilino (acoustic guitar) joined two months later on.
