New York-based progressive metallic ensemble Ice Age group blends the influence of American prog-pop acts like Styx and Kansas using the heavier sound of Hurry, the greater elegant Western european stylings of Deep Crimson and Michael Schenker, and the present day touch of Fates Caution, King’s X and Fantasy Theater. Comprising vocalist/keyboardist Josh Pincus, guitarist Jimmy Pappas, bassist Aaron DiCesare, and previous Cold Metal drummer Hal Aponte, the group released its debut recording, The Great Separate, in 1999. Liberation adopted two years later on.
