Ian Thornley

Toronto native Ian Thornley first found success in the late-90’s fronting the Canadian alt-rock band Big Wreck. After launching a set of well-regarded albums on Atlantic, the group disbanded in 2002 departing the door open up because of their leader’s self-titled single band Thornley. Using their large post-grunge appear, Thornley were a solid suit for Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s General imprint 604 Information. Their 2004 debut Arrive Again was an instantaneous achievement in Canada, boasting two #1 singles and gaining Thornley two Juno nominations. After another Thornley LP in ’09 2009, Ian rekindled his relationship with previous Big Wreck member Brian Doherty, ultimately reuniting the music group for 2012’s Albatross which debuted at #9 over the Canadian Albums graph. The reunion continuing a year or two afterwards with 2014’s Spirits and Thornley embarked on an effective solo profession as an acoustic vocalist/songwriter. Dealing with veteran maker Tag Howard (Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois) inside a remote control Ontario cottage, he crafted his soulful and introspective debut, Secrets, which he released in 2015 under his delivery name Ian Fletcher Thornley.
