Iain Mac Harg

A bagpiper since age six, Iain Macintosh Harg began competing early, and has received multiple awards in the Eastern USA Pipe Music group Association. An achieved Quality 1 piper, Macintosh Harg performs Highland pipes, Scottish smallpipes, and various other European bagpipes, aswell as flute, whistle, and bodhran. He received the majority of his instructions from P.M. George F. Ritchie, and has experience in traditional Scottish, Cape Breton, Irish, Breton, and French playing designs. Mac Harg provides founded two tube rings and participated in a number of additional Celtic groupings. The Green Hill Highlanders had been his first tube band. Produced while he is at senior high school, they continued to contend at many Highland Video games. His second, the Catamount Tube Band, produced in the central Vermont region. Mac Harg in addition has performed in a number of Celtic folk-rock groupings. During his university years, he was with Whiskey Before Breakfast time, who toured the Highland Video games in the U.S. East Coastline and released the albums Hell’s Brook and Period Well Spent. If they disbanded to pursue a wider variance of musical styles, the associates who thought we would retain a Celtic concentrate re-formed beneath the brand-new name of Prydein. Prydein released their debut record, Unfinished Business, and elected to stop performing. Meanwhile, Mac pc Harg created another folk group, the Large Road, who’ve released an recording, Around the Flex.
