I Walk the Line

The dark, organ-driven punk rock of I Walk the Line came into being in 2003, a couple of years before anyone knew the band’s name may possibly forever be from the likewise titled Joaquin Phoenix movie about the person in Black. Located in Helsinki, I Walk the Range began like a part project for different people of Finnish rings Lost and Manifesto Jukebox. The quintet released its first recording, Badlands, through Fight Rock Market (Finland) and Manager Tuneage (U.K. and Japan) in 2004. They toured around Germany as well as the U.K. a few times to get it, and drummer Antti stop (later getting the band’s audio man) and Jussi authorized on in his place. A lot of 2005 was spent composing and documenting I Walk the Line’s sophomore recording, Desolation Street, that was released to positive response in European countries the following yr. The band’s first-ever U.S. tour implemented in the springtime of 2007, including an end at Austin’s South by Southwest celebration.
