i-Ten

i-Ten was a short-lived hard rock and roll/AOR venture with the legendary ’80s pop songwriting group of Billy Steinberg (electric guitar/vocals) and Tom Kelly (electric guitar/keyboards/vocals), who all had had some achievement composing for others but hadn’t yet strike the big style. Steinberg and Kelly teamed up with several rock program vets, including Toto’s Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, and David Paich, plus Trip drummer Mike Baird, Richard Web page (afterwards of Mr. Mister), among others. i-Ten’s lone record, Taking a Frosty Look, premiered in 1983 and co-produced by Lukather and Keith Olsen. Although it created no strike singles (& most of the music artists returned with their time careers), the name track was afterwards covered by Honeymoon vacation Suite, as well as the ballad “By itself” was taken up to the top from the graphs by Center in 1987. By that point, Steinberg and Kelly will be set up pop hitmakers, penning tracks like Madonna’s “Just like a Virgin,” Cyndi Lauper’s “Accurate Colours,” Whitney Houston’s “Therefore Emotional,” as well as the Bangles’ “Eternal Fire.”
