Vocalist Christopher Palmer and guitarist Jeff Nolan met even though both were in senior high school in Florida. Both began playing jointly and produced the Sinful Pigeons with bassist Mike Kossler. Following a little tour, the bandmembers proceeded to go in various directions, but Palmer, Nolan and Kossler re-formed as I REALLY LIKE You and released a melody with an SST compilation. Playing at an SST concert, the music group was sighted by way of a Geffen professional and agreed upon. With drummer Tom Special, I REALLY LIKE You released their self-titled debut recording in 1991.
