Hypocrisy

The Swedish death metal band Hypocrisy was shaped by Peter Tägtgren in 1990 upon his go back to Sweden from Florida, where he previously been motivated by that state’s flourishing death metal scene (bands like Morbid Angel, Deicide, Loss of life, and Obituary). Hypocrisy’s 1st demo was documented completely by Tägtgren himself; once it guaranteed him an archive offer, he recruited a lineup of Masse Broberg (vocals), Jonas ?-sterberg (acoustic guitar), Mikael Hedlund (bass), and Lars Szöke (drums), while he himself resolved on acoustic guitar. This lineup released Penetralia in 1992, where point ?-sterberg remaining the group. Obsculum Obscenum made an appearance in 1993, and Broberg consequently departed aswell, with Tägtgren presuming vocal duties. Therefore reconstituted like a power trio, Hypocrisy started to strike its stride, documenting The Fourth Dimensions (1994), Abducted (1996), and THE ULTIMATE Chapter (1997); for the time being, Tägtgren developed another career like a producer, dealing with rings like Dimmu Borgir, Immortal, and Dark Funeral. Hypocrisy officially disbanded following a release of THE ULTIMATE Chapter; however, lover curiosity persuaded Tägtgren to reconsider the separation, along with a live recording, Hypocrisy Destroys Wacken 1998, premiered in early 1999 like a precursor of what to come. The brand new recording Hypocrisy followed soon thereafter and In to the Abyss premiered in middle-2000.
