Hurl Soul Bridge

The country-flavored music group Hurl Soul Bridge came together in the first ‘00s at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Developing the band had been guitarist/vocalist Chris “Roadie” Rodahaffer, a Louisville, KY indigenous; upstate New Yorker Kyle Lawrence on bass; and on drums, Rhode Isle indigenous Wes Medeiros. The three got intensive musical backgrounds which range from pop to hard rock and roll to hip-hop and dance hall, but Rodahaffer’s developing fascination with bluegrass music led their musical path. As opposed to the alt-country scene’s developing pop intuition and fascination with creation experimentation, Hurl Soul Bridge’s sound was gradual and improvisational on its initial record, 2003’s Which Can be Your Way?, sketching evaluations to Gram Parsons’ early ‘70s function.
