Hungry Cloud Darkening

Northwestern haunted indie trio Hungry Cloud Darkening got their start when the group’s multi-instrumentalist users/co-songwriters, Allyson Foster, Paul Benson, and Nicholas Wilbur, relocated using their homes in Nixa, Missouri and Hill Home, Arkansas towards the lively musical community of Anacortes, Washington in 2008. Around the start of the 2010s, the trio began focusing on a collaborative, analog-only documenting task that mirrored both reclusive mysteriousness of fellow Anacortes indie take action Support Eerie (for whom all three Hungry Cloud Darkening users would devote period as touring music artists) as well as the even more pop-minded noises of obtuse rings like Broadcast and Blonde Redhead. Intensive collaborative documenting and composing periods first led to 2011’s full-length debut Dark Cloud at Drinking water, implemented in 2014 by sophomore work Glossy Recall.
