Shaped in 2004, the Portuguese indie rock-band Humanos were developed as a task to record and execute some unreleased music of deceased iconic Portuguese singer/songwriter António Variações. After Variaçõha sido’ loss of life in 1984, a container was found including reel-to-reel tapes that he under no circumstances released. The music continued to be in storage for nearly the next twenty years. Eventually transcribed by journalist Nuno Galopim, the tracks were then documented by several artists from different Portuguese rings. They released their eponymous debut record in 2004. The live record Humanos ao Vivo implemented two years afterwards.
