Human Switchboard

Inspired with the Velvet Underground (especially lead vocalist Bob Pfeifer) as well as the angst-ridden post-punk of Pleasure Division, Human Switchboard debuted in 1977 with an EP made by Pere Ubu’s David Thomas. Individual Switchboard Live premiered by the music group three years afterwards (though it resembles a bootleg), and the group released their just LP, Who’s Getting in my own Hangar? After just one more live record, Coffee Break!, that one comprising radio broadcasts, the music group quickly disintegrated. Pfeifer (who afterwards arrived an A&R placement at Epic Information and continued to serve as leader of Hollywood Information) released one single record five years following the break up, and keyboard participant Myrna Marcarian afterwards released an EP only using her initial name.
